About the Role
The Company is in need of a Chief Credit Risk Officer to take on a pivotal role in leading and overseeing its commercial credit portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing robust credit risk management strategies, as well as ensuring that all credit risk policies and procedures are in line with industry best practices. A key aspect of the role is to provide expert guidance and support to the commercial lending team, and to actively participate in the assessment and approval of credit decisions. Applicants for the Chief Credit Risk Officer position at the company must have a background in commercial real estate (CRE) and commercial and industrial (C&I) lending. The role requires a professional with a strong knowledge of credit risk management, policies, and procedures, and in-depth experience in a similar capacity, particularly within a small regional or community banking environment. The ideal candidate will be adept at identifying, measuring, and mitigating credit risk, and will have a proven track record of effectively managing and leading a credit risk management function. A strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams are essential for this senior leadership role.
