Junior Project Analyst

Location: New York, NY (Midtown)

Employment Type: Long-Term Contract

Schedule: Hybrid, typically 2–3 days onsite per week

Hours: 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., with occasional accommodations for last-minute requests and deadlines

About the Role

A leading financial services firm is seeking a curious, detail-oriented Junior Project Analyst to join its presentations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills who enjoys learning, working with data, and tackling varied projects.

The role combines presentation production, data management, and special project support. You will work closely with investment bankers, maintain highly visible resources used across the firm, and help improve existing tools and processes. Financial services experience is helpful but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update firm-wide resources used in investment banking pitchbooks and presentations.
• Work with high volumes of data in Excel, ensuring accuracy and consistency in data exports and presentation materials.
• Edit and produce polished, client-ready PowerPoint presentations quickly and accurately, maintaining consistent formatting and exceptional attention to detail.
• Partner with investment bankers at varying levels to understand requests, clarify expectations, gather information, and obtain approvals.
• Translate bankers’ objectives and feedback into clear, accurate presentation materials.
• Support special projects and identify opportunities to improve existing resources, tools, and workflows.
• Manage multiple requests and shifting priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel proficiency and the ability to work accurately with large amounts of data.
• Strong PowerPoint skills, including editing, formatting, and producing polished presentations under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint integration is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and a consistent approach to checking work for accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to ask thoughtful questions and clarify requests.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, adjust priorities, and respond to the needs of the team.
• A resourceful approach to problem-solving and an interest in continued learning.
• Recent graduates and early-career candidates with strong technical skills are encouraged to apply; financial services experience is not required.
